Discovering Truth: 365ideas4change Number 47

I’ve always believed that honesty is the best policy. It’s not always easy. I discovered today that it is indeed valid. Our truths are all different, but when we share them, others have the opportunity to respond with their truths. Somewhere in the sort-of-middle, we find ‘reality’.

I shared my truth with a friend today. It was potentially embarrassing for us both, and had the possibility of causing a rift in the friendship. What it actually did was bring us closer. They understand me a bit better, and I them.

What “truths” do we hold onto, afraid that they might rock the boat? Based on today’s experience, share your truth gently, and help build a new boat together. Without a clue as to whether it’s sea-worthy or not.
